Blue Lake Representative (Summer Music Camp) at DCHS on Friday

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp is a non-profit summer school of the arts specializing in two-week arts programs for intermediate and high school students. Phil Louden, Ohio Scholarship Representative from Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp will be visiting our school on Friday, January 12th to evaluate students for scholarships and share some information about Blue Lake’s summer camp. Last year over 100 central Ohio middle and high school students attended the camp and participated in the international program.

Any student who auditions will be considered for scholarship aid toward tuition to attend the camp. The camp is open to all music (vocal and instrumental), drama, and art students. Band and Choir students can play/sing a piece from their semester exam or something being prepared for Solo and Ensemble. Art students will need to share 3-4 samples of their art work (photos of work would be acceptable). Drama students should come with a 1-2 minute monologue to present. Dance students must audition at a regional site for scholarship consideration.

Blue Lake offers a wide variety of scholarships based on merit, audition, and financial need. About 3 weeks after your child auditions, you will receive a packet with the audition results.

The audition does not obligate or enroll you child in the camp. Should your child choose to attend the camp, an application will be included in your audition packet.

If you would like more information about the camp, check out Blue Lake’s website at:
