Good Luck Tomorrow at OMEA Solo and Ensemble!!!

Good Luck to Everyone!!!!!!

Good luck to all of our soloists and ensemble members tomorrow!  The directors are SO PROUD of all of the hard work you have demonstrated over the past couple of months.  Remember to tell yourself that because of your preparation, there is nothing to be nervous about.  Because of your diligence in attending ensemble rehearsals and through your private lessons, YOU ARE READY!  Anything that you perceive as "nerves", is just your body being excited to show everyone everything you have prepared for Saturday!

Solo And Ensemble at Reynoldsburg (Summit Campus) - Saturday, Jan. 27:

Reynoldsburg HS-Summit Campus
8579 Summit Road
Reynoldsburg, OH 43068

(Do not go to the school located on Livingston Ave.)
Here are some last minute reminders for tomorrow:

Please arrive at least an hour ahead of your scheduled time.  When you factor in walking from your car, to finding the warm-up room, warming up, going to your performance site 5 minutes early, you will need an hour.

All SOLOISTS should give the judge the INSTRUMENT PART (not the piano part) for the solo WITH THE MEASURES NUMBERED.

ENSEMBLE CAPTAINS should wait until the judge is finished to pick-up the score once the judge is finished with their comments.  Please make sure the judges copy is also numbered.
Please remind all parents (and grandparents) that there is absolutely no photography or videography allowed in the performance rooms.  This rule applies even before they start playing.  The penalty is disqualification.

See below for documents for Solo and Ensemble.  Please review the documents for important information for soloists and parents.

To accommodate all schedules (students, directors, ensembles, etc.), we always have to change the times of some events. This avoids things like having a soloist scheduled to perform at the same time as an ensemble that they are in, etc. If your time has changes (far right column), you will see a time on the door outside your room that is the original time.  It is extremely important for all soloists and ensembles to communicate the original time with the judge before the event begins so they know how to find your form.  Always be considerate to judge so that these switches are smooth.  ALSO - please forward any questions to a Coffman director.  Never go to the main office and ask questions.

Remember, there is no school transportation provided.
In years past, you have the ability to purchase a medal if you receive a "I" or a "II".  If you would like a medal from the performance, please meet our student teacher (Ms. Zonders) in the cafeteria at 10:00, 12:30, 3:00 or 4:45 to receive the certificate from the performance.  If you are in an ensemble, the ensemble needs to coordinate passing the certificate to each student.
