After the "on-stage" performance the band moves to the sight-reading room.  This is just for students and directors.  At the completion of sight reading, the students will go to the cafeteria to wait for the results of their performance.
We would love to have as many people in attendance as possible.  This will hopefully be the most polished performance of the year from the Symphonic Band

Mattress Sale:

Please keep spreading the word about the sale!  This is one of the best fundraisers of the year because not only  will your student benefit from the sale but so will the band!  Any senior families that participate can assign their sale to a younger band member as well!
All 9-11th Graders are asked to work a 1.5 shift on April 28.  Shifts range from 8:00a.m. to 5:00pm.  The kids have a blast together on this day.
Chaperones Needed:
Please consider sitting in a lawn chair for 1.5 hours watching the kids in their PJs on a street corner.  It is a fun time and an extremely easy way to volunteer.  If the weather is "rainy" we don't sit on the street corner so please don't worry about being outside in the rain.

Andrew Morales Scholarship Application for Senior Band Members

Per the Dublin Music Boosters: Andrew Morales passed away on March 5, 2018, after he lost consciousness during a band practice and was taken to Dublin Methodist Hospital where they tried to revive him. Andrew loved music and was passionate about academics as well. In his memory, his family began raising funds for a scholarship for a student who will be attending a university with plans to continue participation in music.

The scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who exemplifies Andrew’s commitment and love for marching band and academics.

Criteria: Personal statement...what marching band has meant to you. Please include the university you plan to attend, your major that has been selected, your GPA (above 3.75 weighted) and your intention to participate in music. Please include a concise personal statement limited to one page.

The intent is to provide financial assistance for postsecondary education. Eligibility criteria includes: at least one year involvement in Dublin Coffman Marching Band, graduation from Dublin Coffman High School with weighted GPA above 3.75, pursuing a postsecondary degree with plans to continue involvement in music.

One scholarship of an amount to be determined will be awarded to a qualified recipient in 2018. Pending outcome of contributions to the scholarship fund, additional awards may be distributed in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Potentially, these students would have been personally impacted by Andrew. Scholarship selection is not based on need but need may be taken into consideration.
