Volunteer Opportunities - PLEASE FILL A SHIFT
For the Dublin Bands Showcase, our main responsibility is to run the concession stand.  This is a big job from roughly 2:00pm-9:30pm.  We usually run two shifts.  Knowing that we are participating in a contest in Springfield that day, we have a performance time of 2:00pm.  If we could have any parent able and willing to work the concession stand at 2:00pm, you could then see your son/daughter perform at 9:30pm in Dublin.  OR vice versa.  We need a lot of help from 6:00 - 10:30.

PLEASE KNOW THAT IF YOU VOLUNTEER ON SATURDAY NIGHT, WE WILL SHUT DOWN THE STANDS SO THAT EVERYONE CAN WATCH THEIR CHILD PERFORM AT JEROME.  WE STILL HAVE 14 SLOTS TO FILL FOR SATURDAY NIGHT!  (Free Admission......) :)

Honor Band Opportunities
Thanks to the students that have been interested in participating in the Capital and the OSU honor bands.  Since both universities are picking students from director recommendations, this opportunity is fairly selective.  Each school is trying to get a diverse group of students from many different high schools and not necessarily the top students from the State of Ohio.

Bradstreet Notes:
We've had a week of information overload!  We've learned 14 difficult and fast paced sets and we can't wait for you to see the ending to the closer (Eiffel Tower will come next week).  The sets are fast and they hit every 8 counts.  The music is fast, loud and powerful!  This makes for a lot of velocity on the field but it also makes for a lot of brain activity!  We will be performing to the end of the closer this Friday and we will add the Eiffel Tower set next week in preparation for the last 4 contests.

As you watch the kids for the last four weeks, please take the time to view their coordinate cards.  We will have 83 different coordinates in this show which we hope everyone is no more than 3 inches off their "dot".  Add in all of the choreography from spinning in the color guard, to dancing in the winds to nailing down the pulse by the percussion, makes what our kids do pretty amazing.

This year has been very special for many reasons but mostly its because we have a great group of kids as well as the staff that I get to work with who make my job so much fun.  As we enter the final 4 weeks, we hope you are able to enjoy all of the hard work that our kids have done but also all the work that the parents have done to make this year special.
