Dr. Jon Kellis
Jon Kellis was a percussionist that I met at the University of North Texas while we were both pursuing our graduate degrees.  He was an amazing musician that specialized in the steel drum however he was a wonderful well-rounded percussionist.  He had an infectious laugh and always wanted to make every situation he was in a fun one.  He lead the Steel Drum Bands at UNT and performed around the Dallas-Ft. Worth area in a band named the Panhandlers.  My wife and I have many fond memories of hanging out with Jon, his wife Chimene and our other great friend Steve.  Jon would be extremely happy to know that my students would be attending a summer camp in his honor.
